Setting up a rule in Outlook to forward emails to another user

Follow the steps below to set up a rule in Outlook to forward email to another user: 

Classic Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Info > Manage Rules & Alerts.
  2. On the Email Rules tab, select New Rule.
  3. In the Rules Wizard, under Start from a blank rule, choose Apply rule on messages I receive and select Next.
  4. Under Step 1, select From people or public group.
  5. In Step 2, select people or public group and choose who you want to forward mail to.
  6. When you’re done, select Finish.

New Outlook

  1. At the top of the page, select Settings.
  2. Select Mail > Rules.
  3. Select Add new rule.
  4. Enter a name for your rule.
  5. Add a condition: choose Apply to all messages.
  6. Add an action: choose Forward to or Forward as attachment, and then enter the email address where you'd like your messages to be forwarded.
  7. When you're done, select Save.

Outlook on the Web

  1. At the top of the page, select Settings.
  2. Select Mail > Rules.
  3. Select Add new rule.
  4. Enter a name for your rule.
  5. Add a condition: choose Apply to all messages.
  6. Add an action: choose Forward to, and then enter the email address where you'd like your messages to be forwarded.
  7. When you're done, select Save.
